"Delish! What a great little spot that has a variety of old school diner food! They had great service, a lovely cook, amazing Fried Green Tomatoes & nearby lots of other stores. The good: *Service! The staff was super nice and went out of their way to check on us. Was very helpful when we were asking questions about the food and made us feel very welcomed. *The fried green tomatoes were delish! Also the biscuits and gravy, the BLT & French toast! Literally everything had a touch of 'love' right in it, you could taste it, that's for sure!! *The sweet tea is so yummy! Very southern style *The cook came out to take a break before we cashed out and was very sweet! Lovely lady! *Prices are definitely affordable especially for the location! You get a good amount of food for the price. The bad: *The bathroom and hallways and kitchen do appear to be due for a deep cleaning. There was a lot of clutter and everything looked dirty. It definitely could use a good scrub down. *The table and booth were also in need of a good cleaning The ugly: *The lemonade tasted like a cleaner. My son ended up switching his 'Arnold Palmer' out for a regular sweet tea as the mixture of lemonade and sweet tea totally tasted like a weird cleaner but, The waitress was nice enough not to charge us for the "extra" drink. *Only allowing 1 refill of sweet tea is a bit rediculous! I assume it's because it's a highly visited tourist spot that they do this? But I've never been somewhere where you have to pay more to get another refill. Thankfully we didn't run into this issue but, I could see with eating a meal and sitting there talking for a little bit that you may need another refill and then you are going to be charged another $2.77. I would highly recommend coming back and giving this place another visit. I hope the next time I visit it will be a little cleaner but other than that I definitely feel that this is where You go to eat the comfort foods you grew up loving."
"We would love to give Pearl's 5 stars but somehow our breakfast slipped through someone's hands and we waited for an hour while others behind us were served their meal before us. Perhaps if the waitress who took our order would have come near our table sooner than when we saw others receive their food we could have questioned why the wait and gotten our food resolved in a timely manner. Another waitress gave me milk for my coffee, which I immensely appreciated, and kept filling my cup. She also apologized for our late food service, s did our initial waitress. All help were extremely cordial and nice, and fortunately we were not in a desperate rush. The food was good, eggs perfect, and biscuits really tasty. We liked the touch of butter and a little grilled. Ate with the gravy and also without. If in the area, we'd definitely have breakfast again, but would be mindful about "falling through the cracks". I do appreciate their apologies and concern shown by some."
"To say this establishment was great is an understatement! Angie is such an angel and made sure we felt at home! From the customer service to the food , nothing disappointing at all. I visited with my girlfriend and we were welcomed as if we were visiting our family. The hospitality , the warm atmosphere and the sweet smiles made everything perfect. 10/10 I wish I could give more stars !"
"This is a cute little diner, in the middle of a strip mall. You wouldn't think it "looks right" to be a great place to eat, but looks can be deceiving! Step inside, the place is bustling and alive! The staff was great, our waitress was incredible on a very, very busy day. We did have a bit of a wait time, but we were never forgotten, and when our food arrived everything was perfect! I definitely recommend the pork tenderloin sandwich, so delicious!"
"Great family style diner. I had the Western Omelette and the potato cakes. The potato cakes reminded of the ones my dad made when I was growing up. I would go back just for the potato cakes…they were crispy on the outside and the mashed potatoes had great buttery, onion and garlic flavor. Will definitely recommend Pearls and will be back next time I visit"
"Perfect little dinner excellent service great prices"
"Quaint little diner that lives up to its boasts of cooking like your grandma. We had the Pearl's Bowl (biscuits with gravy hash browns and eggs) with a side of bacon - delicious! Good amount of food and can't beat the prices! Fast service too! A great way to fuel up before a big hike. Will definitely be back!"
"Previous reviews mentioned the Sausage Corn Bread and Gravy, so I had to try it. It sounds like a crazy combination, but it was really good. It was a decent-sized piece of homemade cornbread (filled with kernels of corn) and 2 sausage links baked within...then smothered in sausage gravy. I added the cubed potato chunks. I tried to show the sausage links in the cornbread, but the picture doesn't do it justice. Now, I have a new favorite dish and restaurant. My husband had the Reuben Sandwich. The corn beef was extremely tender. Another winner. And best of all, the prices are extremely reasonable. It reminded me of the Pre-Covid dining prices."
